Before you come, do these.

Two parts of prep this time: the usual on purpose, plus homework on Gerald Printing so you can ask Jennifer and Brian sharp questions during their Q&A.

  • Finish the first half of The Great Team TurnaroundThe book you got at Session 1. We'll discuss it together in this session, so come ready to talk about what stuck with you, what PVTV means, and the idea that a whole team should understand how the business works.
  • Do your homework on Gerald PrintingJennifer and Brian are going to answer anything you ask for 30 minutes, so come ready. Gerald Printing started in 1971 in Kentucky as a small commercial printer. The Davis family bought it in 1996 and grew it through acquisitions into the largest commercial printing company in South Central Kentucky, with six locations across Kentucky and Tennessee. Today it does far more than printing: graphic design, direct mail, signs, screen printing, embroidery, apparel, and promotional products. It's now part of the Purpose Group family of companies, which is why two of its leaders are coming to talk to you.Gerald Printing — AboutOpen →Company historyOpen →Gerald Printing Celebrates 55th AnniversaryOpen →

Bring

Questions.

At least 2 questions on leading with purpose, like always.

Plus 2 to 3 specific questions for Jennifer and Brian about Gerald, based on your research. Good ones dig in: How do you keep a 50-year-old business relevant? What's the hardest part of leading people through change? What does printing even look like in an AI world? Why does the work matter to you?

Reflect on this

"What's a company whose 'why' you actually believe in? And if you started something someday, what would your 'why' be?"

You don't need an answer. Just let it rattle around.
